You can usually start at any time. The staff will book an induction or enrolment session, and after that you will usually study at times to suit you.In discussion with the staff you will be set an Expected End Date - based on your experience, and the length of the course. Your learning will be a mixture of self-study from a workbook or online course, one-to-ones with tutor and taught workshops. There are always tutors in the centre to support your learning. Your course fees will be explained when you enrol. If you are on certain benefits most courses will be free (although you will have to pay registration/exam fees). English and Maths courses are free for the vast majority of students. We do a variety of courses. Our New CLAIT and CLAIT PLUS courses lead to recognised IT qualifications. Learndirect offer a wide variety of courses, courses for Business and for Leisure e.g. digital photography, genealogy, languages, Customer Care, and Health and Safety.Our Switch On and Surf Direct courses are designed for beginners.
